Physical Characteristics and Mounting of the Sonoff SNZB-05P
The Sonoff SNZB-05P stands out for its good finish and manufacturing quality. It is compact and comes in white. The upper part houses the battery compartment and the pairing and reset button. In the lower part, the detection electrodes are responsible for sending alerts when they detect water. Please note that for proper installation, the electrodes should always point downwards.

Matching Process
Pairing the Sonoff SNZB-05P is quite simple. Being a Zigbee 3.0 device, it can be paired with any Sonoff HUB, such as the iHost or NS Panel Pro. To pair it, just hold down the reset button for about 5 seconds and scan the new device with our HUB. In a few seconds, the sensor will be identified and added.
Functional Test
To test the sensor, simply place the device in the correct position. Add water until it touches the electrodes. You will immediately receive a flood alert on the device you have previously linked, in my case it has been the NS Panel Pro. By removing the sensor and removing the contact with the water, the alert will cease, demonstrating its immediate efficiency in detecting water leaks.

As I mentioned before, this sensor has a very interesting accessory. It is a 2 meter cable that also acts as a water detector. Made of an absorbent nylon, it sends leak detection signals immediately upon contact with water.
