Sonoff has recently introduced its first Human Presence Sensor: The Sonoff SNZB-06P Zigbee and although it will be officially available in stock from its Official Website in mid-November I have been able to get my hands on one of these units. Today I bring you my first impressions about the new Sonoff Human Presence Sensor, so get comfortable and let’s get started.

Sonoff SNZB-06P Human Presence Sensor
General Characteristics and Operation of the Sonoff SNZB-06P
According to Sonoff, this new Human Presence Sensor is based on 5.8GHz microwave radar. It is capable of detecting people in motion as well as in stationary state. It includes the functionality to detect light to know the state of illumination of the site where it is located and thus be able to optimize the automation and functionality assigned to it.
On the other hand Sonoff tells us that it maintains its compatibility with Alexa, Smart Things, IFTTT, Google Home, etc. Its new Zigbee 3.0 chip gives it a very fast response speed, although you should already imagine that you need a Zigbee HUB to be able to link it.
Thanks to the versatility and accuracy of this new sensor we will be able to take our home automation and energy efficiency to a new level, keeping downtime on and off equipment to a minimum. Oh, and if you want to take it to the highest level of automation, linking it with the new iHost Sonoff will ensure full operation of your equipment, even if you run out of internet connection.

Sonoff SNZB-06P Physical Characteristics
This new device comes very well packaged, in a simple but nice and organized way. A well presented product is something that is always appreciated, and this is already being a trademark of the house with the gadgets that Sonoff launches to the market.
It is a cylindrical device, quite compact and with a button accompanied by a LED status indicator. On the other side is the USB-C port for the power supply of this device, since it is necessary to remain connected to electricity for its operation.

At the moment the device is in the pre-release stage until mid-November 2023. Because of this Sonoff has implemented a fairly inexpensive starting price to help with the wait for stock of this product. And truly, one of the things I liked the most was its starting price.

So far this new Presence Sensor is a device that has caught my attention according to everything it promises. Another of its strongest points has been its launch price, which makes it one of the cheapest devices of its kind on the market.
